DeviceTalks Boston has ended

DeviceTalks is a conversation among leaders. It’s an evening for an exchange of ideas, insight and contacts among the pioneers of the medical technology industry. Formerly known as the Big 100, this event is held annually in Boston, Orange County and the Twin Cities.

Dirk Kuyper brings over twenty five years of successful experience in the commercialization of medical devices. Prior to joining IlluminOss Mr. Kuyper was President and CEO of Alphatec Spine, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATEC), where he led the company to triple revenue to $200M and expanded the brand globally into 52 markets. Prior to Alphatec, as President of Aesculap, Inc., he successfully launched spinal and orthopedics divisions, while also creating a strong infrastructure and foundation for sustained market leading growth for surgical instrumentation and implants focused on a variety of surgical procedures including neuro, microvascular, cardiovascular, and laparoscopic surgeries. Aesculap, Inc. is a subsidiary of B Braun AG, Melsungen Germany. Prior to Aesculap, he held positions at SpaceLabs, US Surgical and Lederle Labs.

He is a member of the Corporate Directors Forum and is a board member of ConMed Corporation (NASDAQ: CNMD) since 2013. Dirk Kuyper served as a Director of Alphatec Holdings, Inc. from January 2008 to August 7, 2012. He holds a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Miami and an Executive Education Certificate from the Graduate School of Sales and Marketing at Syracuse University. Additionally, he served on active duty for four years in the U.S. Army as an artillery officer, where he achieved the rank of Captain.
